There are many reasons why you may be starting to consider putting some locks on the doors for the rooms in your home. Whether it is just to have some extra privacy while you are changing or spending time by yourself or with others, then you may truly need to have a quality lock.
It is important to choose one that comes with a way to unlock it both from the inside and outwards. This means having a key that you can keep on your personally or hide nearby in the event that you need to get back in.
While you may just want a basic door knob or handle with a standard lock, some are choosing to upgrade their lifestyles as well as the security indoors by adding a high tech locking system. Of course because this is a high tech lock, it is going to come with a higher price tag attached to it, while you can purchase a decent bedroom door lock for twenty or so bucks, this one will run you about $175.
You can order the lock in either stainless steel or else an aged bronze, and you can also choose to have it expertly set up for no extra charge to you. This comes with a deadbolt lock that ensures it will not be opened by someone who you do not want to let in the room, meaning someone without your fingerprints or code.
That is right, there is an option for you to fingerprint scan the lock to get into your room or else you can type in the code that you have set. There is also a key hold in the bottom of the lock, hidden away where you can get in, in the event that you forget your pin code or else cannot pass the fingerprint scan.
This is more along the lines of your average bedroom door knob and lock combination but you can order it with a deadbolt lock as well if you want a little more amped up protection. You can order the small knob in the entry style that comes with a keyhole lock, with the privacy option that is a small hole in the center or else the passage option that is just a knob without a lock.
The knob itself can be ordered in a variety of colors so you can choose the metal type and color to your own preferences. There is the standard, satin nickel, antique brass or polished brass, oil rubbed bronze or matte black.
The knob is small and round and will not be too flashy or large, but will fit with most any bedroom door. You get two keys with each door lock and they run around $15-20 each.
This door lock comes with a handle attached to it so you have an easier way to gain access to your bedroom. The handle itself is very durable and the lock is sturdy and will be able to hold up to being used on a regular basis.
You can order this lock with a deadbolt if you want it, and you can order it without a lock altogether if you have some doors that you do not need locked. You can pay about $90 for expert installation but it should not be too difficult to put in by yourself.
You can order this door lock in either brushed nickel finish or in an oil-rubbed bronze finish, which is closer to a black color. These options run about $20 and come with free shipping.
Though there are other keyhole locks on my list, this is my favorite for this category as it is very convenient and comfortable to use. It is not an expensive option and is about $16 for a single door handle with the lock.
While this is on my indoor bedroom lock list, this is also an excellent outdoor lock as well, especially if you purchase a deadbolt separately. This is specifically designed for left handed doors which you will see whenever you begin to put it in by the way it faces.
You cannot change it around which is the shortcoming of this lock so keep that in mind when you make your purchase.
This is a heavy duty, very durable door lock that will ensure security whether you position it on the bedroom door or an outdoor door. This is a handled option rather than a knob, which makes it more comfortable to fit into your hand as you are trying to open the door.
There are a variety of different options for ordering this handle including the passage that has no lock on it, there are locking options with a push lock or a key locking option that comes with two keys. This is a very expensive lock, though it seems simple by design it is about $130 for a single door handle with lock.
The lock is high quality and will last you for the long term which makes it worth the high price. Each individual lock cost around $90 per each lock that you have ordered.
